Shop Local

Today is Minnesota Music Day. Which got me thinking. Supporting our local artistic infrastructure is the only way to keep it thriving and to keep it alive. Here is a reminder to go to local shows, buy art from local makers. When you only spend money on the corporations local art begins to wilt. Instead of grabbing your birthday cards from Target, stock up from a local print maker. Simple, small support on an individual level creates a massive impact for all of are local creatives!

Blueberry Dye Try

Testing out different colors on different papers. This is blueberry. Endless play time. If you were ever on the fence about trying something bold and new I just want you to know that you are brave and can do it my friend! Also, if that something happens to be more in tune with the earth and use less waste then I adore you. Give it a go. You've got this!

Gemini, Gemini

As a Gemini with a Gemini Moon I NEED change. This Beauty was a delight to make! There were so many different steps to this process that I found myself incredibly, creatively stimulated. And this is essential for me. I want to make things that feel good, that excite my artistic soul, things that whisper to my perfectionist mind, "Relax, I've got this." All of this.

Spring is approaching (here?) and with Spring comes all the Art Festivals. I will be at the Chowgirls Lounge in NE Minneapolis for Art-A-Whirl once again. The Chowgirls lounge is located in the Solar Arts Building: 711 NE 15th Ave.
